Do youhave to remove the engine on a 98 sanoma 4 cylinder to change the oil pan?

I am currentlyworking overseas. The wife took the truck into a repair shop. They told her it would cost $910 to change the oil pan because they must first pull out the engine! I think she was being tricked..Do youhave to remove the engine on a 98 sanoma 4 cylinder to change the oil pan?Dont know what truck you have bro but never seen one in 40 years with no sump drain plug, there ripin your lady off. Go some where else
