We need to change our French Drains. Will they have to remove the patio deck too?

We had a leak in our basement and its definitely because the french drains are blocked. They need to do a complete excavation around the house and they already informed us that our driveway and the stairs leading to our house will be ripped out (and replaced) so they can access the drain. My question is, we have a patio deck in the backyard thats about 4 feet off the ground. Will they be able to dig under there or do you think they will have to rip it out?We need to change our French Drains. Will they have to remove the patio deck too?You may be able to talk them out of ripping it up. It'll cost you more because they'll have dig that section up by hand and it'll take longer.We need to change our French Drains.
