How do you remove/change the bulb in a strip light?

I just got a used aquarium that came with a strip light and bulb. The bulb in the strip light is starting to wear out (blackened edges). I have a replacement, but have no clue how to remove the old bulb. I don't want to risk breaking something, so can anyone tell me the proper way to remove it? Thanks! How do you remove/change the bulb in a strip light?I'm guessing that what you have is the traditional straight-tube fluorescent light.

Turn off the light and let it cool (don't try to change a hot bulb).

Then hold the light fixture with one hand, and carefully turn the bulb about a quarter to a half turn in place. This will move the pins out of the sockets at each end, and let you slide the bulb out of the fixture. To put the new bulb in, slide it into place and then turn about a half turn until you feel the pins seat in their sockets.

If it's a long light fixture, it will help to have someone else hold the fixture so you can use both hands to remove the old bulb. How do you remove/change the bulb in a strip light?you normally twist it round about 30-45' degrees one way or another and it should pull out...its a bit hard to explain...
