How do you remove/change the gear shifter in the Dodge Nitro.?

I just bought a 2009 Dodge Nitro and i want to change the gear shifter. It looks like it is removable but I'm scared to try to pry it off because I don't want to break it. Any advice would be appreciated.How do you remove/change the gear shifter in the Dodge Nitro.?Its best you leave it alone, Dodge will not warranty a part you break by messing with it. I've drag raced for 45+ years and never found any advantage to after market shifters for automatic transmissions your money would be better spent on nice graphics or wheels.
