If you were a home buyer, you had a tight budget and you wanted to change/remove/replace carpeting, cabinets,?

flooring, painting, would you find it helpful to have someone as a consultant to guide your through the process of doing those things? Would you pay a small fee for this service depending on your needs? What are your thoughts? If you were a home buyer, you had a tight budget and you wanted to change/remove/replace carpeting, cabinets,?Of course! I am an Interior Designer, and even I still need someone else to bounce ideas off of. I think that I would rather make a good solid decision (the right) one than to turn around in a few weeks and say, honeyI really hate the color of these cabinets. Talk about a major waste of money!! You could lose more money in making a bad decision on your carpeting, than on an exspert. Good luck to you, and happy renivating!!! :)If you were a home buyer, you had a tight budget and you wanted to change/remove/replace carpeting, cabinets,?You have the internet...a world of free advice to get at your fingertips. Also, many of the DIY websites offer great tips and advice. If you get a consultant, you are just dipping into your much needed budget for the project itself. If you have to time, look online at the DIY (Do It Yourself) sites. There are so many of them. Also, Home Depot and Lowes often have free classes or consults for those who buy materials from their store. Check em out.If you were a home buyer, you had a tight budget and you wanted to change/remove/replace carpeting, cabinets,?Yes. As many DYI's have no clue where to actually start when it comes to home improvements. Nor do they have any idea of potential problems that may come up. Nor do they have a vast knowledge of all of their options. I wouldn't personally pay anyone for this advice, as I do it for a living myself. Having a game plan, helping them plan a budget, and giving them a prioritized list can be worth it's weight in gold to many homeowners.

So yes, people will and do pay for it. I can attest to that.If you were a home buyer, you had a tight budget and you wanted to change/remove/replace carpeting, cabinets,?The carpeting I would hire done, painting I would do myself, and if the cabinets are in good shape and are wood I would buy ornate trim molding and put on the doors and paint the cabinets and put on new knobs and drawer pulls.

Kitchen cabinets are expensive to replace and many times it is not necessary to replace them. If the cabinets are in nice shape just replace the counter top and maybe add a new sink.If you were a home buyer, you had a tight budget and you wanted to change/remove/replace carpeting, cabinets,?replace the carpeting and revamp the cabinets for a cost effective design
