How can you change the properties of an admin "My Documents" so you can access the data when u remove the HDD?

I have removed a HDD from a computer and need to remove some data from the my document folder which was for an administrator account. I have connected it to a PC via USB -%26gt; IDE connection and can access all files except the ones in my documents. How can you change the properties of an admin %26quot;My Documents%26quot; so you can access the data when u remove the HDD?If it is Encrypted on an NTFS file system, you most probably will not be able to get the files without the original user password. If it is not encrypted, make sure you are an Administrator on this copy of Windows then right click on the folder and select Properties, next click the Security tab. Now click the Advanced button and the Permission Entries window will open. Uncheck the %26quot;Inherit from parent ......%26quot; check box and a message will pop up with 3 selections , click Remove and all the users in the Permission Entries will vanish. Click Add and add yourself then give yourself Full Control when the Right window pops up. This should do it, if not come back again and select the Owner tab, it should let you Take Ownership of the folder.

Good Luck
